The Heart of the Mountain

The Heart of the Mountain was once known as the Mouth of Winter. For centuries, this volcano actually spewed frost and ice instead of smoke and lava, thanks to the power of Shuvira the Ice Queen, who lay entombed in the depths. A group of young gods overcame Shuvira’s guardians and released her, causing the mountain to erupt in one last icy explosion before the cold was finally banished. Almost immediately, earth elementals returned to the mountain, and declared that it was now the sacred domain of Gelena, Goddess of the Mountains. Since this change, it has become known as The Heart of the Mountain, and Galena is worshiped by the The Adherents who live at the edge of the former volcano.
